Description

The Stealth Gear Bean Bag is a compact camera and lens support (22 cm x 22 cm), ideal for a camera with a telephoto lens attached. The bean bag was designed to last. It is reinforced to reduce wear and features double stitching.

Due to its V-shape, the bean bag is very stable, for example on a car door with the window open, on a branch, on the floor and other surfaces. But of course it is also perfect for use in a low photo blind like the Buteo Photo Gear Falco II and III, or on the (forest) ground. The bean bag has an anti-slip backing to prevent unwanted slipping.

The bean bag is designed to last, reinforced to reduce wear and tear and double stitched. If you fill the bag completely, for example with rice, bird seed or corn, it will weigh around four to five kilograms. If you prefer a lighter bag, you can also fill it with Styrofoam pellets or plastic.

To protect your valuable camera and lens, sturdy rubber YKK zippers are attached that will not scratch your equipment. The bean bag has a practical additional compartment on the back, ideal for storing a lens cap, memory card or other small accessories.

Definition: The Water Column of a Tent

The water column indicates the maximum water pressure that a tent fabric can withstand. A water column of 1,500 mm means that the tent fabric can withstand the pressure of a 1,500 mm (1.5 meter) high column of water before water penetrates the fabric. The higher it is, the more waterproof the tent material is.

DIN EN ISO 811:2018 regulates the method for determining the resistance to the penetration of water. The following “hydrostatic water pressure test” must be carried out: The outside of the material is exposed to the water. The water pressure starts at zero, the water column rises by 100 mmWC or 600 mmWC per minute, depending on the standard. The time is measured until the third drop can be seen on the inside. The pressure that is acting at this point in time is then given in millimeters of water column.

Top tents are considered waterproof from 1500 mm and tent floors from 2000 mm according to DIN.
