Description
The Square Hide was developed by nature and wildlife photographers: It has been extensively tested and adapted. This is one of our two-person pop-up camouflage tents that we currently offer in a variety of camouflage patterns.
Thanks to the improved spring steel construction, this tent can be easily set up and taken down (pop-up technology). As soon as you take the tent out of the bag, it will automatically shape itself. After that, all you have to do is attach the additional poles to the roof. Ready to use!
Perfect camouflage
In order to successfully photograph or film birds and mammals, it is important and to make his equipment invisible with a camouflage tent. The idea is that the animals do not see or recognize us as humans and therefore do not feel threatened.
Prepare and Set Up
It is good to know the area in which you want to photograph , good to know so that you can set up your tent on time and in the right place. It's good to know the position of the sun and where to expect wild animals or birds. Try to use the existing vegetation to blend in with the environment as best as possible. The hiding place can be secured with the included stakes and guy ropes if the weather conditions are a bit rough. For additional camouflage you can use branches, reeds or leaves (please do not break off any living branches or plants), or use a camouflage net.
About the tent
The fabric of the tent is well camouflaged on the outside and coated with black on the inside to ensure that it is inside is as dark as possible. It offers enough space for one or two photographers, chairs, backpacks and of course your equipment. You have the choice between photo windows on all sides of the tent and the option of opening them small or wide. If you want to film birds or mammals, the wide open window may be a better choice. All windows are at normal (eye) height.
The viewing windows with insect nets offer sufficient visibility on all sides. The tent fabric itself is made of a robust material (polyester 150D) that has a long service life. When it rains, you stay dry thanks to the water column of 2,500 mm. However, keep in mind that the weather resistance may decrease somewhat if the tent is left outside for months. The color can also fade slightly if the tent is exposed to the sun for a long time.
The large door on the back has a high quality zipper with cords (less noise); all zippers match the color of the tent. When the door is open, it does not fall down, but hangs to the side and also has a camouflaged insect net.

Definition: The Water Column of a Tent
The water column indicates the maximum water pressure that a tent fabric can withstand.
A water column of 1,500 mm means that the tent fabric can withstand the pressure
of a 1,500 mm (1.5 meter) high column of water before water penetrates the fabric.
The higher it is, the more waterproof the tent material is.

The time is measured until the third drop can be seen on the inside. The pressure
that is acting at this point in time is then given in millimeters of water column.
Top tents are considered waterproof from 1500 mm
and tent floors from 2000 mm according to DIN.
