Description
The LINKSTAR L-3 is a compact Fresnel LED light, ideal for ENG productions (on-location shoots), small studios, and interviews. Its 30-watt output is optimized with a Fresnel filter, producing a strong 5600K beam. The knob on the back of the L-3 allows you to adjust the beam angle, expanding or narrowing the illuminated area. The separate control unit features a dial for seamless power adjustment.
The L-3 light is mounted on a metal arm, allowing horizontal and vertical angle adjustments. It includes a standard spigot mount on the bottom for compatibility with almost any light stand. The metal arm has a unique coupling for attaching the controller (and an optional V-Mount battery) directly onto the arm. An optional accessory set is available with three honeycomb grids, a softbox, barndoor set, four color filters, a cone nut, and a diffusion globe.
The L-3 Mini Fresnel LED combines compact LED convenience with the characteristics of traditional continuous lighting. Thanks to its very compact form and lightweight design, the L-3 is easy to carry. The Fresnel filter provides the beam range and light intensity typical of continuous lighting, but without the heat, bulk, and weight associated with traditional lighting setups. With a CRI of 95, it delivers natural color rendering, making it suitable for professional productions. The beam angle is adjustable from 16 to 45 degrees.
This handy and powerful light is ideal for any small photo or video production, such as baby photography, where flashes can startle, or on-location interviews needing extra lighting. No nearby outlet? No problem: the optional V-Mount battery allows the L-3 to operate independently of mains power. With the included adapter, two NP-F batteries can be used instead of a V-Mount battery. Easily transport and store the lamp in the included bag.
Special Features of Fresnel Lights
Due to the special Fresnel lens and adjustable beam, Falcon Eyes Fresnel lights are commonly used in environments needing intense lighting, like theaters, TV studios, and film studios. Typically, LED lights have limited range, but with Fresnel lights, subjects at a greater distance can be illuminated effectively. Additionally, Falcon Eyes Fresnel lights produce significantly less heat than traditional spotlights.
