The FLIR LS-XR is a high-end, tactical thermal imaging monocular with 640x512 detector in the 7.5hz version. The thermal camera is equipped with a 35mm lens with a detection distance of up to 1.2 kilometres. The viewer is specially designed for professional applications, where the user must be able to observe at any distance and independent of the weather type.

The standard optical magnification gives you a wide field of view of 18x14 degrees. Using a digital zoom you can enlarge this image even further to 2x, 4x and 8x. The combination of digital zoom and the HQ detector ensures that you have a thermal image even at extreme distances. During use, you can display the surroundings in different colour palettes, so that the image is displayed completely according to your own preference. You can choose between White Hot, Black Hot and InstAlert Red. With the latter function, the 'hottest' object in the picture - often a person - is displayed in striking red. This function is crucial in situations where you are looking for people.

The thermal imaging camera has an internal rechargeable battery. As soon as you have fully charged it, you can use the FLIR LS-XR for up to 5 to 7 consecutive hours. The start-up time is also less than 1.5 seconds. Optionally you can place the unit on a tripod via the 1/4" threaded connection at the bottom. The thermal imaging camera is IP67 certified and therefore waterproof (submersible) and can withstand a fall from a height of 2m onto concrete.

This thermal camera is extremely suitable for professional applications such as police, defence, navy, customs/security or other forms of law enforcement. The high-end detector in combination with the high digital zoom possibilities make the viewer extremely suitable for observations at extreme distances. Moreover, with this thermal camera you are never dependent on the weather conditions or the amount of light present. Due to the fact that the LS-XR detects heat differences and does not measure actual temperatures, periodic calibration is not necessary.
