ZWO ASI 183MM – High-Performance Mono Camera for Astrophotography
20.18 Megapixels and High-Sensitivity Sony IMX183 Sensor
The ZWO ASI 183MM is a high-performance monochrome astro camera for demanding deep-sky, lunar and planetary astrophotography. The Sony IMX183 CMOS sensor offers 20.18 megapixels, a resolution of 5496 × 3672 pixels and particularly small 2.4 µm pixels.
Thanks to the back-illuminated BSI technology and quantum efficiency of up to 84%, the ASI 183MM makes highly efficient use of the light collected by the telescope. In the H-alpha range, QE remains above 60%, making the camera particularly well suited to deep-sky astrophotography.
High Resolution and Fast Frame Rates
The small pixels enable high resolution and detailed images of nebulae, galaxies, the Moon and planets. At the same time, the high readout speed enables precise real-time focusing and supports Lucky Imaging.
Via USB 3.0, frame rates of up to 117.3 frames per second are possible at reduced resolution. At full resolution, the camera reaches up to 19 FPS. This makes the ASI 183MM suitable for both deep-sky imaging and fast lunar and planetary imaging.
Mono Camera with ST4 Autoguiding
As a monochrome astro camera, the ASI 183MM offers high sensitivity and resolution. For true-color astrophotography, RGB and narrowband filters can be used in combination with a filter wheel. This provides particularly flexible options for imaging nebulae and galaxies.
The integrated ST4 port allows the camera to be connected directly to a compatible mount and used for autoguiding. Power is conveniently supplied via USB.
