High-Resolution Mono Astrophotography with Sony IMX571
The back-illuminated Sony IMX571 CMOS sensor offers 6248 × 4176 pixels, 3.76 µm pixels and a native 16-bit ADC. Its high dynamic range enables finely graduated image reproduction, making the ASI 2600 MM DUO ideal for detailed images of nebulae, galaxies and other faint celestial objects.
As a monochrome camera, the ASI 2600 MM DUO is particularly well suited to demanding deep-sky astrophotography using LRGB and narrowband filters. High quantum efficiency of up to 91% and low read noise provide excellent light sensitivity and clean image data.
Integrated SC2210 Autoguider
The integrated SC2210 guiding sensor handles autoguiding directly within the camera. With 1920 × 1080 pixels, 4 µm pixels and high sensitivity in the near-infrared range, it enables precise tracking. A separate guiding camera and off-axis guider are therefore not required.
The combination of a deep-sky camera and autoguider simplifies the astrophotography setup and significantly reduces cable clutter. The ASI 2600 MM DUO can therefore be integrated into an existing setup in a particularly compact and organized way.
Efficient Cooling and Zero Amp Glow
The two-stage TEC cooling system can cool the CMOS sensor to up to 35 °C below ambient temperature. This significantly reduces dark current and thermal noise during long exposures. The Zero Amp Glow circuit additionally prevents distracting amp glow.
An integrated anti-dew heater with an output of approximately 5 W helps prevent condensation and frost on the sensor. The heater can be switched off when required to save power.
Easy Setup and Reliable Data Transfer
The ASI 2600 MM DUO features a USB 3.0 interface and integrated DDR3 buffer memory. This supports stable data transfer and reduces the risk of dropped frames. Thanks to the integrated guiding sensor, the setup remains particularly clean without the need for an additional guiding camera.
Important power supply information: Reliable operation requires an external 12 V / 3 A power supply. This also applies when the cooling is switched off.
