Description
With an aperture of 10 cm, these binoculars are a true double telescope, having a larger aperture than many smaller telescopes, and twice as wide. For maximum mechanical and collimation stability, the SkyMaster 25x100 has a reinforced housing with a central rod and integrated tripod mount.
With a weight of 4 kg and 25x magnification, you will need a sturdy tripod so that the binoculars can show off their strengths. But then it delivers images you won't forget - whether you're looking up at the sky or targeting terrestrial targets.
The larger aperture allows more resolution than with smaller binoculars, and looking through binoculars with both eyes allows relaxed observations over long periods of time.
Even in low light conditions such as twilight, they still show details, while smaller binoculars simply turn off the light. The single eyepiece focusing also serves as dioptre compensation. By dispensing with a central drive, an even more stable housing is possible.
Celestron SkyMaster - large binoculars at an affordable price
Large binoculars are the link between handy binoculars and large telescopes. By dispensing with a central drive, an even more stable housing is possible
The Celestron SkyMaster binoculars are available with apertures that can compete with many smaller telescopes - but at the same time they offer a large field of view, making it easier to find your targets while keeping an eye on the surroundings.
Do you want to observe distant targets on earth, or do you prefer astronomical targets in the sky? SkyMaster binoculars are perfectly suited for both tasks.
To prevent the image from shaking during observation, all binoculars have a tripod adapter built in. So you can mount them on a ball head or - better - a two or three-way panhead without an additional adapter.
Carrying bag and strap complete the package. Of course, all SkyMaster binoculars have dioptre compensation. Focusing is conveniently done by a center drive on the 70 or 80mm aperture binoculars, the 25x100 has single eyepiece focusing. With an optional camera mount like the Baader Planetarium MicroStage II you can also take pictures through the binoculars.
Many possibilities and combinations
Large binoculars with more than tenfold magnification can only be used hands-free for a short time. With a tripod the binoculars have a stable hold and you can observe in a relaxed manner. For the high magnification of the SkyMaster binoculars a tripod with fine drives is helpful. In general a tilt head is better than a simple ball head because it is more suitable for panning.
If the binoculars are mounted on a tripod, you can also take pictures with a digital camera through one of the eyepieces - this is particularly convenient with a MicroStage camera mount, which allows a compact camera to be perfectly aligned behind the eyepiece and swivelled to the side without losing alignment.
Astronomical quality
Do you want to observe distant targets on earth, or do you prefer astronomical targets in the sky? SkyMaster binoculars are perfectly suited for both tasks. To ensure that the image does not wobble during observation, all binoculars have a built-in tripod adapter.
