Nature DX ED Binoculars
Celestron Nature DX binoculars are the ideal companion for nature observers, birdwatchers, and outdoor enthusiasts. The award-winning Nature DX series has been enhanced with high-performance ED (Extra-Low Dispersion) lenses, delivering image quality comparable to much more expensive premium binoculars – at an attractive price-performance ratio.
The large 50 mm objective lenses capture more light, making these binoculars especially effective in low-light conditions such as dawn or dusk. With 12× magnification, this model is excellent for long-distance observation, wildlife watching, and surveillance applications.
ED Lenses for Maximum Image Quality
High-quality Extra-Low Dispersion (ED) glass minimizes chromatic aberration and significantly reduces color fringing, a common optical error in many binoculars. The result is sharp images with excellent color accuracy, high detail resolution, and strong contrast.
Not all ED glass is the same. The premium ED material used by Celestron produces visibly brighter, sharper, and more contrast-rich images than standard optics – especially in low-light conditions such as twilight or cloudy weather.
Fully Multi-Coated Optics and High-Quality Prisms
The Nature DX ED binoculars feature fully multi-coated optics, meaning every air-to-glass surface is coated with multiple anti-reflection layers. This minimizes light loss and maximizes image brightness.
The installed BaK-4 prisms feature phase-correction and dielectric coatings. This combination significantly improves light transmission and produces a bright, color-accurate, and highly detailed viewing image. Together with the ED lenses, optical performance is further enhanced, especially in low-light conditions.
Durable and Weather-Resistant Housing
The rugged, rubber-armored polycarbonate housing protects the binoculars from shocks and external influences without significantly increasing weight. Multi-position rotating eyecups provide comfortable viewing for both eyeglass wearers and non-wearers.
Thanks to nitrogen filling and waterproof construction, the lenses remain reliably fog-free even in high humidity or rain. The Nature DX ED is therefore well suited for demanding outdoor use.
Versatile Use for Nature, Sports, and Observation
The Nature DX ED 12x50 offers powerful 12× magnification for detailed long-distance observation. The large 50 mm objective lenses provide high light gathering capability while remaining lightweight enough for handheld use without a tripod.
For extended observation or digiscoping, the binoculars can be mounted on a tripod via the integrated mounting socket (adapter sold separately).
Included Accessories
The package includes a comfortable neck strap and a padded nylon carrying case for safe transport and storage. An optional 90° tripod adapter can be purchased separately.
