Description
Blend into the background while photographing wildlife with the Lightweight Photo Blind camouflage pattern by Buteo Photo Gear. Made of a polyester/cotton blend, this cloth photo blind comes with an elastic cinch cord for the camera lens and a camo mesh window so the photographer can view the subject. Draped in the Photo Blind, you can adjust your equipment without your movements being seen. The blind stays in place by means of a hook-and-loop closure at the back of the head. It comes with an integrated storage pouch with D rings.

The fabric itself is made of a robust material (polyester 150D) that has a long service life. In the event of rain/showers you will still stay dry thanks to the water column of 2,500 mm. Please note, however, that the viewing window is not waterproof.
When you use the
Camouflage Photo Blind you will notice that it is coated black on the inside. The viewing window with insect net gives you just enough visibility to keep an eye on your surroundings. The throw is large enough to cover you and your tripod with camera/lens. There is also space for your photo backpack. So you are completely covered by camouflage and can move your head freely to observe your surroundings.

Definition: The Water Column of a Tent
The water column indicates the maximum water pressure that a tent fabric can withstand.
A water column of 1,500 mm means that the tent fabric can withstand the pressure
of a 1,500 mm (1.5 meter) high column of water before water penetrates the fabric.
The higher it is, the more waterproof the tent material is.
Waterproofness
The water column is also a unit of measurement to measure the watertightness e.g.
B. of technical fabrics (tents, functional and rainwear).
DIN EN ISO 811:2018
regulates the method for determining the resistance to the penetration of water.
The following “hydrostatic water pressure test” must be carried out: The outside
of the material is exposed to the water. The water pressure starts at zero, the
water column rises by 100 mmWC or 600 mmWC per minute, depending on the standard.
The time is measured until the third drop can be seen on the inside. The pressure
that is acting at this point in time is then given in millimeters of water column.
Top tents are considered waterproof from 1500 mm
and tent floors from 2000 mm according to DIN.
