Description
The Snoot is made from the same material as our blinds. All snoots come in the same homemade camouflage leaf pattern that matches the patterns/colors of our camouflage blinds and are coated black on the inside.
Attaching to your camouflage blind is easy: remove the original window and attach the snoot with the Velcro fastener. This only takes a few seconds. The snoot can then be firmly attached to the lens or lens hood using the cord with clip. There is an additional viewing window with insect protection directly above the snoot, so you can keep a perfect eye on your surroundings. The snoot is waterproof in normal rain, but can be additionally protected at any time with a waterproofing spray.
Multiple snoots can be used with the Buteo Mark II series and the Aquila Mark II series. This can be useful if you want to use additional photo windows or if you are traveling with 2 photographers (Aquila). For the Falco Mark II or Falco Mark III series, only one snoot/lens protector is required.

Definition: The Water Column of a Tent
The water column indicates the maximum water pressure that a tent fabric can withstand.
A water column of 1,500 mm means that the tent fabric can withstand the pressure
of a 1,500 mm (1.5 meter) high column of water before water penetrates the fabric.
The higher it is, the more waterproof the tent material is.

The water column is also a unit of measurement to measure the watertightness e.g.

DIN EN ISO 811:2018

The following “hydrostatic water pressure test” must be carried out: The outside
of the material is exposed to the water. The water pressure starts at zero, the
water column rises by 100 mmWC or 600 mmWC per minute, depending on the standard.
The time is measured until the third drop can be seen on the inside. The pressure
that is acting at this point in time is then given in millimeters of water column.
Top tents are considered waterproof from 1500 mm
and tent floors from 2000 mm according to DIN.
