Description
LandScout binoculars are great, all-purpose binoculars at an affordable price that can bring a new level of enjoyment to almost any activity: sporting events, sightseeing, birding and wildlife observation, hiking, and more!
Coatings and Prisms
Inside the LandScout are two pairs of Porro prisms, reflective optical prisms that take the form of a right-angle triangle with two sides of equal length. Porro prisms make binoculars more compact without compromising focal length or the transit of the light rays as they pass through it giving it the classic “broad-shoulder” shape of a traditional binocular. Our Porro prisms are constructed of K9 optical glass, which provide high reflectivity so that more light passes through the optical path to your eye.
LandScout also contains other optical surfaces treated with special coatings to boost light transmission even more. The result is a brighter view than uncoated binoculars.
The Body
Whether you’re out on the trail or inside a crowded stadium, you want a binocular that is comfortable to hold and use over long periods, without fear of bumps or drops. LandScout features a lightweight and durable armor-protected chassis. Its tough, rigid frame is coated with rubber to stand up to hard use in the field. The LandScout is also water resistant and can repeatedly stand up to unexpected conditions.
Viewing through LandScout is comfortable for eyeglass wearers and non-eyeglass wearers alike, thanks to its rubber eyecups. Keep the eyecups up for proper positioning of the eyes without glasses. If you’re wearing glasses, simply fold them down and out of the way.

No matter how you choose to observe, this versatile binocular is an excellent all-around performer.
Ways to Observe
LandScout is tripod-adaptable, so you can mount it on any standard photographic tripod for extended viewing or digiscoping (photography through the eyepiece). The tripod adapter is sold separately.
Accessories Included
LandScout includes an adjustable neck strap that you can customize to be most comfortable for you. The binocular also includes a protective soft case for storage and transport so you can take it anywhere with confidence.

LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY
Limitations of Normal Wear and Tear
Product exteriors (rubber or other material) are fully covered for five years against defects in materials and workmanship but small scratches or blemishes are not covered.
Included accessories such as lens caps/covers, eyecups, cases/pouches, and straps are fully covered for two years against defects in materials and workmanship, but are not covered for accidental loss.
Over time, optical coatings may develop small blemishes through normal wear and tear or abuse under various environmental conditions. These are not covered and the determination is at the sole discretion of Celestron.
Other Limitations Not Covered
The basic optical system is covered for the useful life of the product for the original owner.
Collimation and optical alignment issues must be claimed within 30 days of purchase.
Loss of the product or of lens caps/covers, eyecups, cases/pouches, or straps are not covered.
