This long lens telescope is designed for observing the night sky: when you align the equatorial mount to the north, you only need to track in one axis to follow the movement of the stars – this is particularly useful at high magnifications, such as those needed for observing the Moon and planets.

Upright image systems ensure you see correct, laterally correct images in the telescope, just like in binoculars – this is just as helpful for nature observation as it is for stargazing.
